The PaperPlank black trays are made of a high quality and robust paper composite. The manufacturing process involves soaking several layers of paper in food grade resin, cutting, stacking by hand and pressing and bonding under even heat and pressure. The result is a solid and balanced material that is cut into boards using modern CNC milling machines.
These boards have many advantages, such as:
- natural surface
- 100% cellulose
water- and dishwasher-proof - water- and dishwasher-proof
- high durability and impact resistant
- heat resistant up to 180 degrees
- food safe
- easy to clean
Unlike bamboo or wooden boards, these boards can be cleaned in the dishwasher without restrictions and also protect kitchen knives by slightly scoring the surface to protect the blade, making re-sharpening less frequent.
